Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

You Guessed it....CHRISTMAS TIME!!!
Weve been buzzin' like bee's trying to get ready for Christmas. My sneakyness skills have increased tremendiously do to it being extremly difficult to buy presents for a certain person who always questions when you need to go somewhere you aren't willing to say exactly where it is. LOL wives...can't live with 'um, can't live without out 'um :) I managed to do most of it without here knowledge, I think there are even a few presents under the tree she is unawares of.
Oh how I love the Christmas season! I just wish all the presents were free, my pocket book is near floating out of my pocket these days. Ok I dont really have a pocket book, still you get the jest. Well here are a few pics of us enjoying the season and getting our home ready to celebrate the Birth of the Savior! and of course get presents!

Whispering Woods

So this last week we went to Whispering Woods resort for a week, and I've got to say I was very dissapointed. I tried that whole dang week and never got any of the trees to whisper, even a little. False advertisment if I have ever seen it. Nah it was GREAT! Nothing like a week off of work. Not to mention that the condo was free! Anna's Dad & Stepmom had a time share that they couldn't use so they offered it to us, Lucky, I know. We had a lot of fun even though it was pretty rainy most of the time. We managed to still find things to do, mainly the "professional" 18-hole putting course!! My only complaints were the outrageously overprice groceries: just because there in the middle of nowhere doesn't mean its okay to jack up the prices for things. And the fact that nearly everthing is closed on...Tuesdays and Wednesdays...huh? Well at least there taking a day of rest sometime in the week aye? But overall it was a great experience and a good rest from the stresses of the world.

THE HONEY MOON

Okay so we loafed around our new apartment until Wednesday morning, when we headed up to Seaside! As is usual for Oregon, especially the coast, it was raining. The trip up there took a bit longer than we expected because of some traffic and road work, but we got to the beach about 9-ish. Our hotel room wasn't quite ready so we decided to get a bite to eat at the Shilo Inn Restaurant. The view was great but the food, maybe closer to left overs than fresh...Anywho, we ate what we could and got a pool card so we could go swimming while we waited. We hung around the hotel for close to 2 hours before we decided the room wasnt going to be ready anytime soon and hit the stores. Just our luck though about our second store the hotel called us and told us our room was ready! lol. But we just went on looking at the stores. We decided to eat before we went back to our room so we stopped in at the Big Kahuna. We ate there last time we went to Seaside and new the food was good! Man if you ever want some good burgers or chicken go there its great! So after Lunch we went back to the hotel to check out our "Honeymoon Sweet". Well i dont want to sound pickey but it was alot to be desired, the only good things was the king size bed, small electric fire place, and an okay view of the beach that was really nice if you wanted to out on the cold deck! haha. After all the driving and walking we were both dead tired so we took a little nap. Afterwords we hit the stores again. Got a couple nice sweatshirts and a pair of sweat pants, at maryannas 12.99 store another great place! Went to the outlet mall down the street. Drove the little rental buggies, and played a round of mini-golf. With a few more visits back to the hotel room... :D By the time the sun set we were ready for dinner and thought our luck had improved, so our courage was high to try something new. A little italian restaurant right on the strip. Seemed fancy enough, but boy when we got our meals. Usually i can choke down just about anything, after eating rotten carrots and potatoes with dog hair, but this was beyond me. I couldnt help but feel the meals main ingredient was perfume. And Anna's meal was just as bad. No we didnt send it back...though we were told we should've many times after we told the story. But we payed for the meal (no tip of course) because the service was only slightly better than the food. and went our way. The night was good and in the morning we decided we would try and fix the trip a little by going through Tillamook! Right outside of Seaside we found a little go cart track and mini-golf course. We had lots of fun at both! Ironic that the most fun place in Seaside is right as your leaving it! But Tillamook was great! We ate at the cheese factory, took the tour, and left with ice cream in our hands! definitly a picker upper! After the trip we were glad to be home. It was overall a great time for us both. Even with the downsides! Marriage has been truly great!! We love being together! And are grateful for the decision we made to spend the rest of eternity with eachother!!!! Coming soon...WE'RE EXPECTING!!! lol just kidding!!! ( i hope i didnt just jinx myself :P)

MARRIED!

So we were married a week and 3 days ago. It was an amazing experience for both of us. The Sealer was wonderful, and had some amazing council! It was just great all around!! And for the first time in history, the bride was ready before the groom. I guess im just a girl!! lol. After the sealing, took pictures for about an hour and a half,(thanks jenni! shes amazing) and then went out for a bit to eat at olive garden with the best man and maid of honor. The reception was later the evening at six thirty but we had to be there at six to take family picture. and with traffic we got home just in time to get ready and leave. No nap :( The reception was good. a lil' stressful at first but everyone was so much help, it turned out to be wonderful!! We had so many people, family and friends who helped out with the reception, we are so grateful for them all!! thank you! After the reception we headed home 2 cars full of presents :) and that ends the wedding day story boys and girls :P Coming soon.... The Honeymoon (Dont worry its rated "G")
