Okay so we loafed around our new apartment until Wednesday morning, when we headed up to Seaside! As is usual for Oregon, especially the coast, it was raining. The trip up there took a bit longer than we expected because of some traffic and road work, but we got to the beach about 9-ish. Our hotel room wasn't quite ready so we decided to get a bite to eat at the Shilo Inn Restaurant. The view was great but the food, maybe closer to left overs than fresh...Anywho, we ate what we could and got a pool card so we could go swimming while we waited. We hung around the hotel for close to 2 hours before we decided the room wasnt going to be ready anytime soon and hit the stores. Just our luck though about our second store the hotel called us and told us our room was ready! lol. But we just went on looking at the stores. We decided to eat before we went back to our room so we stopped in at the Big Kahuna. We ate there last time we went to Seaside and new the food was good! Man if you ever want some good burgers or chicken go there its great! So after Lunch we went back to the hotel to check out our "Honeymoon Sweet". Well i dont want to sound pickey but it was alot to be desired, the only good things was the king size bed, small electric fire place, and an okay view of the beach that was really nice if you wanted to out on the cold deck! haha. After all the driving and walking we were both dead tired so we took a little nap. Afterwords we hit the stores again. Got a couple nice sweatshirts and a pair of sweat pants, at maryannas 12.99 store another great place! Went to the outlet mall down the street. Drove the little rental buggies, and played a round of mini-golf. With a few more visits back to the hotel room... :D By the time the sun set we were ready for dinner and thought our luck had improved, so our courage was high to try something new. A little italian restaurant right on the strip. Seemed fancy enough, but boy when we got our meals. Usually i can choke down just about anything, after eating rotten carrots and potatoes with dog hair, but this was beyond me. I couldnt help but feel the meals main ingredient was perfume. And Anna's meal was just as bad. No we didnt send it back...though we were told we should've many times after we told the story. But we payed for the meal (no tip of course) because the service was only slightly better than the food. and went our way. The night was good and in the morning we decided we would try and fix the trip a little by going through Tillamook! Right outside of Seaside we found a little go cart track and mini-golf course. We had lots of fun at both! Ironic that the most fun place in Seaside is right as your leaving it! But Tillamook was great! We ate at the cheese factory, took the tour, and left with ice cream in our hands! definitly a picker upper! After the trip we were glad to be home. It was overall a great time for us both. Even with the downsides! Marriage has been truly great!! We love being together! And are grateful for the decision we made to spend the rest of eternity with eachother!!!! Coming soon...WE'RE EXPECTING!!! lol just kidding!!! ( i hope i didnt just jinx myself :P)
